1) Vairelles makes a run behind the defence. The midfielder marking him, stops to play the offside trap (unsuccessfully).

2 ) Vairelles moves in on goal and beats the defender. The goalkeeper is drawn across and he plays the ball across goal to the back post.

3) Manso, supporting play, finishes comfortably into the corner.

Conclusions:

- Good example of how to get behind a defence which is pushed forward. Also, good skill and awareness to get the cross in as well as the ability to make the most of a 3v2 attacking situation.
- The midfielder does not track the run by Vairelles, prefering to rely on the offside trap (perhaps required better communication). The other defender who comes across to tackle Vairelles, tends to sell himself too easily.
